A Practical Theatrical End to HATE
If in one single act we could gather all the Hate in the world, select a group of people (like you and me) to destroy it with the right tools and spirit… What then for this world of ours?
An end to HATE is a performance that relies heavily on audience participation. Mr and Mrs Clark select 3 strong individuals and then challenge them directly to destroy hate.
These instructions are delivered without uttering a word. An End to hate is a simple attempt to illustrate the toil needed to embrace such a worldly task.
The Clarks’ simple and bold message and performance style pays homage to the clown in society, with reference to Butoh dance and a passing nod to the performance art happenings of the politically charged 1960’s.
